There is a long line of love from this family to mine. Steph’s mom is my Aunt. An aunt who Maddux and I am named after. We carry her name with pride and I also carry her heart. Her life was too short and Maddux just missed meeting her but her legacy is carried throughout my family and Stephanie’s family.

Stephanie has her very own photography business in Louisiana and who I bought my first camera from 4 years ago.  I had the nervous pleasure of photographing her family this Christmas and I am so happy she finally got on the other side. Photographers never do and we are entitled to have our family pictures as much if not more than the ones we shoot.

I am not sure what they have in Louisiana that grows their boys like they do but we need a little over here! It could be the alligators or the mosquitos but what ever it is they got it down!

Praying for the healing of so many things in her life now so I wanted to share some sunshine with her!

this is my beautiful friend. you captured her and her family so well. I remember the visit to L.P. when you came and bought that camera. Stephanie saw so much potential in you and she was so right. You are very talented Jaime. You see through to the soul.

Beautiful is an understatement for this family! They have a special place in my heart and honestly looking at these images brought tears to my eyes. She is lucky to have such a talented cousin to photograph her family and it is about time she took that step. These images captured so much more than the beauty in the Thorntons and you are right, Louisiana sure does know how to grow some boys! Great work Jamie and so glad you shared them especially in this time of her life. Hopefully she will smile and find Joy looking at these. Amazing couple, Amazing Family, Amazing shots!!!

… you are loved. You may remember this family who I posted a little while back here. We loved each other so much we did it again two months later. Well, not really. Little bird was not in the best of moods during this shoot so we tried again and her smiles came through more on that shoot. I loved everything about this shoot even if she was not super happy to see me! Thank you S family for trusting me yet again to get these images of your little bird!

These are my lovelies on a cold winter Sunday afternoon. Jammies on, hair a mess but we hugged and kissed through it all! And before anyone says anything… Yes, I have more images than Lenny bc he was being a grump-ola and that was all I could do!

Can I just say…. you have the most beautiful lovey family! Its not fair. HA HA I see this and want kids so I can rub noses with them and (ahem, hoepfully) look as amazing as you do! Dang girlie. You are going to make a mama out of me. SO BEAUTIFUL! I can’t pick a favorite.
If I were you… I would make Large 16×20 prints of all of these and cover an entire wall at your house. The OOOZE LOVEY HAPPY VIBES! And will bring tears of joy to all those who look upon the wall. Beyond envious of you YET AGAAIN! Love you much woman! You are amazing! (and side note… your bedding is freaking amazing.)

Where to even begin? I have known this mama ALL my life. We were best friends, then not, then best friends, then not! We had the best imagination of any children I know. We decorated and rearranged our playhouse 1,000,000 different ways and so we carry on the tradition into our own real homes now. I have so many fond memories with her that I can not believe I got the opportunity to photograph her family. I blogged her 2 years ago in a more urban setting here.   Thanks for driving to me P family and having coffee with me before we even started. I wish I could do that with all my clients!

she’s back….. little Miss firecracker was back this year and not missing a beat~ Her previous session can be seen here. You can see how she has grown in her face and how I have grown as a photographer. She is every ounce of spunk as you see here. I am not normally one to use balloons anymore since it is done some much these days, but honestly it is her. She was in heaven the entire time she had them with her and it really brought out her true personality. I love seeing them year to year. Now what to do next year??
