as much as I love shooting a baby on a beanbag… I love a baby in a mommies arms so much better. This is the first post of my slow transition to a different type of newborn photography.

One where you can see life.

One where not everyone is set in the perfect spot.

One where the dogs and chaos are involved.

It is the image of what really happens when you come home. Babies yawning. Big brother not wanting to be photographed within 10 feet of his new sister. It is the behind the scenes shots that I love that others forget are so beautiful.

When a photographer photographs another photographer there are a whole separate set of nerves that come into play. I will not hide the fact that I get nervous at every shoot. I DO. But when a photographer picks you out of all the other photographers there is an amount of pressure put on you to get the images you know you can but hope this is not the one you mess up. I would have to say that after starting this session, within 10 seconds, I was calm. These 2 remind me of me and my husband. They have 2 adorable kids, and they make each other laugh by just looking at each other. Here is the G family, all hugs and love and in my favorite world of black and white!

not much else to say except I had so much fun watching this family unfold in front of my camera. The first image pretty much encompasses how they feel about each other. It was undeniable.

As my family gets older my time for shooting on weekends gets slimmer. My client base is getting larger and I can not seem to find a balance. This year to help reach new clients while still keeping my faithful clients I am offering more mini sessions, which I like to call Love Sessions. My shooting will be limited this fall to only Holly Springs and only mini sessions unless I have already set your session up. Bare with me as I try to run this business and my family as a child of God keeping Him and everyone involved in my life happy.
