Here is a more in depth look at the LAST wedding I did. Notice how I put last. This was for a friend and no I am not a wedding photographer. But this couple sure can make a girl change her mind. I normally like to showcase a few so you can get a real feel for the people but I loved this one from start to finish so that is how I am showing it. Enjoy your new life L and J. There are not enough words to express my love for this family. I have known them since I was little. I have seen this family go through more things in life than any one family should. But through it all they were faithful. Mom is another photographer in my hometown (Danville, Va) and is taking over the city. I was so happy to capture this family in their perfect life. Love you guys!

yes… you, too

I am kicking my heels up and heading to Utah for the first HEARTshop

I am so excited I am drooling on myself!

but don’t worry…. I will be home soon

but not until I have helped you find your heart in your photography

and gotten you to view life just a little bit differently

I can not wait to share with you all the amazing opportunity I have been given by Becky and Yan. Even though I am there to help I know I will come back a different photographer and person for just having them around me! I will also be surrounded my Brooke, another amazing photog based out of Vegas. Fun things to come…. check back to see!!!!

And yes this is the amazing Leah who has graced my site for her entire first year. She is growing like a weed and healing beautifully!

lovin’ being home!

This was my first session in 2010. So far behind blogging it that next week I am going back for Baby A’s one year session! Maybe I will blog that in 2011. This is the prefect session to show you all that having a studio is not a necessity. Having a photographer enter your home can make photo day so much more enjoyable. We had the newborn session at my house but her brother was not to fond of the idea. So we ventured into the world of lifestyle photography for the 6 month session and it was so much more pleasant for him. Your home can be the studio. Being able to use your child’s everyday surroundings in the photos can make it so much more meaningful. So here is the T family in their home, in their world and loving it!!!

This is how I began my day. Sweet lips, curly hair, soft skin, powder smell and a room full of love. How can I not L.O.V.E my job. As we all know, babies are my favorite subject to capture. It is in these moments of innocence and unconditional love that I miss MY babies being little. I was not into photography when my babies were newborns and I am so sad that I do not have pictures like these of them. But… I am so glad I can do it for others or, well….. who knows!!?? Maybe I might get one more chance! No, I am not pregnant but I think when I am 80 I may still say that. It keeps me young!

Oh where to begin here. The day was gorgeous. The rain held out. The location was gorgeous and the bride was phenomenal. What else can a non-wedding photographer ask for! So this means you guys that, ” No, I do not do weddings.” Occasionally I can be talked into one and I am happy to share one of those with you. I loved everything about this wedding. Their story reminded me of me and my hubs. They always knew they were meant to be. They could not stay away from each other… and they tried. They kept coming back and finally, FINALLY they got married. Now about those babies!!?? Enjoy these Britt and Mike even though it was last year that I took them!!!

This shoot was from so long ago I think the youngest is now 10 years old! The R family is one of my biggest fans! Mom always comments on my pics and has helped me out with knitting some goodies for my newborns I love so much! I am a full circle business! Dad may not want me to mention this but… I got a very sweet email from him after viewing his gallery! You know you must have gotten it all if the dad sends out an email. He may have been bribed, I am not sure , but for now lets say was wasn’t! Thanks guys so much for coming to me again and making more memories! Now no more shoots because there is no more room left on your walls! Oh, wait a minute! You need to move! Thanks for being patient for this post! I am catching up!

Words can not describe how happy we are today! I got a sneak peek from my families photo session from Pastel Photography. She is THE most amazing candid photographer I have seen and I was so lucky to be able to get her while she was visiting family here in NC. Click on pastel to see my sneak peek. My heart is so full right now for my family and I am so glad I am able to share our love story with you all!
