This is how I began my day. Sweet lips, curly hair, soft skin, powder smell and a room full of love. How can I not L.O.V.E my job. As we all know, babies are my favorite subject to capture. It is in these moments of innocence and unconditional love that I miss MY babies being little. I was not into photography when my babies were newborns and I am so sad that I do not have pictures like these of them. But… I am so glad I can do it for others or, well….. who knows!!?? Maybe I might get one more chance! No, I am not pregnant but I think when I am 80 I may still say that. It keeps me young!

This family did not think they were having another little one but God had different plans in mind for them. These girls looks so much like each other it is crazy. When I saw mom I was floored. The both look just like her. Believe it or not this little one was 8lbs and 4 weeks early. She slept the entire time and the session was over in 1 hour flat. A new record for me! Here are their sweet faces mom and dad. I am so glad you all were blessed once again with another beautiful girl. Hug those babies tight for me!

Call this a very selfish blog post. Way out of order… baby Leah jumped into first spot for blogging this weekend. Sorry other mommies! I have been friends with this family for a while now. Before I really picked a camera up. I have followed her girls around taking pictures and filling walls up from here to Louisiana. I blogged Leah’s mommies belly pictures a few months ago. You can see those here. We knew Leah would be special from the get go because she was girl #4 for that household. No one really knew how special until she arrived. He are is Leah’s debut. Not as we had originally planned but even more special. No one but God know why we are faced with what comes our way but we accept, adapt and grow. Making way for what its true purpose will be! Here she is.. a little peanut of a girl who loves her milk and who is so wanted to be seen by her two big sissys!

and finally me and Leah… talk about a very hands-on photographer!

The first few days after birth are some the best days ever. Even though sometimes we look back and it is a blur my advice to you is to bottle it up! Sit and stare. Smile and giggle. Cry and hug. It is only here for about 2 weeks. The baby smell. The tiny toes. You will miss it. The newborn cry and wobbly head only lasts for a short time. Then comes some of the other things that will make you smile and giggle. I will share those in a later post! Now as I stop crying over the fact I do not have that anymore here is sweet baby parker. He had the best baby hair I have seen yet! He was definitely a fighter when it came to his photo debut! After he finally got to sleep after 2 hours he was out! I got the best pictures in about 15 minutes. Once they are in a good sleep you can do anything. Patience is the key. My Bojangle’s biscuit and honey was really good after this session! You can see their maternity pics here

I was so excited to shoot this little one. She came as a surprise after years of trying for her older brother who I shot last summer. She was only a few days old and was easy as pie to mold into what i call “squishy love”. Enjoy the little-ness guys… it does not last long! Thanks for sharing her with me!

This was a very special shoot for mom and dad. Michael is actually 3 months old here and all of 7 pounds. He was born at 27 weeks and they all went through a lot to get to this day. Thank you all for allowing me to capture your first images of the healthy Michael. He is beautiful.

Ethan was a champ during this shoot to the surprise of his parents. He had the sweetest lips but did not like to be naked so we shot with a blanket. They always run the show!

I think sweet ethan was upset with me by the time I got this shot… what do you think?
